About Me
I am Allison Hooban, a resident of Montrose, NY. I am a mom of two awesome kids who attend Hen Hud schools in second and sixth grades. I have an LMSW and work as an Early Intervention therapist with children ages 18 months to 4 years old. I’m a local small business owner with over 10 years running a successful little photography studio. I’m also the Camp Photographer during the summers at Camp Nabby, and have leant my photography skills to both the school district and the Village of Buchanan.
I love love love living in Westchester and have been super involved in the community and our public schools in the Hen hud district since 2020. I was a charter member and served on the Executive Committee of the Hendrick Hudson Elementary PTA from 2021-2023, and am currently the Chair of several PTA committees. I’ve also served on many other non-profit Boards and worked with many different communities in my broad career, both professionally and philanthropically.
I’m a lover of the arts and cats. I love a good audiobook. My yard is my happy place. I believe in equality and have always been a bold ally for the LGBTQ+ community. I believe in inclusion and will always advocate for special education and students’ rights. I only speak a little Spanish, but I promise I am trying and will learn more. I am a policy nerd, budgets don’t scare me, and I look forward to serving the kids and families in this community.
